A Decent Stay

friendly staff gluten-free toast small room failing system

The staff were very friendly and efficient throughout my stay! Breakfast offered lots of choice and everything tasted great. I particularly appreciated the gluten-free toast. It was toasted perfectly!

My room was small. It was hard to open both suitcases at the same time. The system for online check-in did not work. I had to refill the forms at the counter.

Elegant Stay with Nice Touches

The hotel's Christmas decorations added a festive touch. I found excellent food and service at the parlour, and I liked the eggs benedict and croissants. The staff were very good, especially with the room decorations. The brasserie impressed me with its quality food.

The mini bar only included two bottles of water and two tiny bottles of milk.

Really good stay!!!

I received a lovely note and four chocolates in my room for my anniversary. The queen room included a comfortable bed and a hot shower. Slippers and robes were a nice touch. The staff were efficient and cute.

I found no one available to help with luggage upon arrival.

The hotel has an excellent building overlooking the park next to Russell Square station. A yoga mat is included in the room. The hotel also offers a complimentary drink in the lounge between 5-7pm.

The hotel is near the train and the tube station. Many neighborhood restaurants and stores are easily accessible. The hotel is located across the street from Russell Square. This makes it easy to explore nearby attractions.

Breakfast offers lots of choice and great service. I received gluten-free toast toasted to PERFECTION. I could have real honey with my gluten-free toast. Gluten-free cereal and porridge were also offered.

small room dangerous bathtub

The room felt quite cramped. It did not meet the expectations for a hotel of this supposed standard. The space available to move around was severely limited. I found the bathtub particularly dangerous. It was slippery, and getting in and out was DIFFICULT. There was nothing to hold onto for support.

Is the bronze dragon statue still part of the hotel's decor? This would be special for our upcoming anniversary in April.

The bronze dragon statue, fondly named Lucky George, is indeed a permanent fixture within the hotel. Interestingly, only two of these sculptures were created, with the other residing in the dining hall of the Titanic.

Does the hotel accommodate pets? I plan to bring my golden retriever with me.

The room sizes vary, with the City Single at approximately 16 sqm, while the Junior Suite is around 43 sqm. Other options range from the Urban Double at 19 sqm to the Fitzroy Suite at about 85 sqm.

Is there a distinction between the urban double room and the standard double room? They seem to be priced the same.
